Year-Round Pell

This session covered the basics of administering year-round Pell Grants for
credit-hour, term-based, and non-term schools (i.e., clock-hour schools).
Several scenarios were included that covered year-round Pell for 2009-2010
and year-round Pell after July 1, 2010, when regulations become effective.
Split-Servicing: Tools and Strategies to Help Track and Manage Debt

A growing number of borrowers will be doing business with multiple loan
providers and servicers. This session included tools available to help
schools and students manage relationships with multiple loan holders and

ECASLA Operational Issues for Schools

This session was designed to assist schools with understanding ECASLA processing
issues. Highlights included an overview of various "put" loan processing
scenarios and tools, how best to process change transactions for "put" loans and

3-Year Cohort Default Rate and SLGFA Default Prevention Initiatives

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) changed how school cohort
default rates will be calculated. This session reviewed the new parameters,
thresholds and sanctions, and participants were introduced to the tools that
SLGFA offers to help schools manage their default rates. (Download PDF)
